Each time I've tired to set up a game server, for example Rust...I download and install the game and use SteamCD, yeah once I open the .bat file it says "RustDedicated.exe has crashed." I've restarted the server box and still get the error. I have not tired reinstalling windows or anything yet either, please help!
Note - I go to update Java and nothing shows up, as if files are corrupt?

That's really not enough info to answer accurately. Usually when a program crashes, it will leave a dump file, or a log file of some sort.
Are you seeing anything like that?
