I see you edited your post there to come off a bit more snobby. Stickz, this has been an reoccurring problem with you for a little while now. We've treat you fairly and have accommodated just about all of your request properly and in a timely fashion, we have also allowed you to provide feedback and opinions freely. You need to stop the "I know more then NFO does and they are out to get me" attitude. It's really doing you and us no good.
Due to our privacy policy I cannot get into specifics of what was discussed in a support request(you can sure post them though), but if we said there wasn't room there wasn't. We don't really have a bias here as we want our hardware to be used. If it goes unused we make no money and are in the hole on a very pricey machine.

I edit posts all the time and expect not to be criticized for doing it. There's almost always something grammatically incorrect and I can never get in all I want to say before the post.kraze wrote:I see you edited your post there to come off a bit more snobby.
What made you feel the need to mention that? I simply created this thread to ask about stock because something wasn't available when I really needed it. (or so you guys said)kraze wrote: Stickz, this has been an reoccurring problem with you for a little while now. This is the only processor which works for my game servers without causing any sort of lag. Why does it have to be so complicated for myself to offer a lag free experience?
The sad is part I was flamed at for doing it. And my questions were constantly deferred. I cannot express anything contrary to what you guys say on these forums without being shot at or flamed. If a thread doesn't go in your favour, you will end up closing or deleting it, so I cannot say anything more.
It really bothers myself when people lie in support requests. This is not how you please a customer. I would have told you the legitimate purpose I needed this processor, had you of specially expressed this issue within the support request.kraze wrote: Due to our privacy policy I cannot get into specifics of what was discussed in a support request(you can sure post them though), but if we said there wasn't room there wasn't. Re: LA Hardware?
You seem to be extremely confused, your question has been answered a few times in this very topic now.. Yes there are machines equipped with E5-2697V3 available at the location, however, you shouldn't expect a guarantee that you'd be placed onto one with a 2-core VDS.
It should be common sense that these resources are reserved, meaning that the machines are properly planned out for the higher packages such as the 12-16 core plans, so that they can accommodate each and every order big and small.

Re: LA Hardware?
I took that response as a way to defer the actual question I was asking. This was likely the case because when it didn't work to defer the question, I was flamed at. I'm apparently a snob for restating the yes or no question which didn't receive that type of answer.Markie wrote:It should be common sense that these resources are reserved, meaning that the machines are properly planned out for the higher packages such as the 12-16 core plans, so that they can accommodate each and every order big and small.
Re: LA Hardware?
stickz, I don't have a way to rewind and check past availability. But, the customers on each machine change over time and it is entirely possible that space opened up after the check.
The system would not have initially placed your 2-core VDS onto a machine with many more spare slots than that, if it could help it. We carefully manage our resources here and try to fill "holes" as much as possible, because that keeps costs down (unusable capacity forces us to buy and run more machines, which increases costs). Right now we generally accept customer requests to move hosts, but if you and others are requesting that small and inexpensive services be placed onto the latest machines with the most capacity, I may have to either change our policy on move requests or raise prices to compensate.

Re: LA Hardware?
Editing post to correct a grammatical is perfectly acceptable, but in your case this wasn't it. You edited your post in a way to signify how your smaller VDS would have no impact on what machines were available to you. This was in response to my general comment about how larger VDS's generally have less options. From your previously edited post in other topics I know that this was willfully intended to be unconstructive.I edit posts all the time and expect not to be criticized for doing it. There's almost always something grammatically incorrect and I can never get in all I want to say before the post.kraze wrote:I see you edited your post there to come off a bit more snobby.
You should view your previous posts on this board to get an idea of why it was mentioned. Just about all of them come off very negative towards us and give an impression of you trying to make us look bad. I also don't believe we have deferred your questions or really flamed you at all. Yes, if you post on these forums you can expect a response from staff and community members alike. If you post on these forums and include incorrect or improper information you can expect a response from multiple staff members correcting you. So far none of your post have been deleted nor censored and as far as I can tell only a single topic of yours was locked, and that was due to the original issue pretty much being hashed out and any further conversation would have just been bickering. What made you feel the need to mention that? I simply created this thread to ask about stock because something wasn't available when I really needed it. As mentioned above, we're not bias on what machine we want you on and frankly we don't really care. If you want a faster machine you just need to ask, which you've done many times and we've accommodated you the best we could at record speeds. I don't honestly don't know of another provider that will not only tell you the type of machine you're on, but then allow you to freely move around locations and request moves to fast machines until their heart is content.
No one has lied to you. I was actually involved in your request, there wasn't space when you asked, sorry :/ Not a huge deal as you kept moving around and making additional request until you got what you needed. It really bothers myself when people lie in support requests. For any community members still viewing this topic I'd like to point out a few things. Stickz has had this forum account for a little while, but ultimately his post count has been fairly low. He was never really involved in the community and didn't lend much of a hand to anyone. Out of his current 55 post, 23 of which were in our News section where he fought and derailed multiple threads.
http://forums.nfoservers.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=12849
http://forums.nfoservers.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=12848
He then proceeded to take this thread off topic(three post)
http://forums.nfoservers.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=12974
Now we have this thread(eight post)
http://forums.nfoservers.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=12998
Also his flame(four post)
http://forums.nfoservers.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12984
This accounts for 38 out of 55 of his total posts. That means that 69% of his total posts on this board since 2013 have been mostly unhelpful and disagreeable to us. It's also important to note that his behavior has come out of the blue for us. Specifically this started on July 24th of this year.
Edit: Stickz, if you have a suggestion to share please do. In fact we'd love to hear it, but as of late you haven't been doing that and have just wanted to fight with us. We don't want to fight. If you're unhappy with our services I'd encourage to express your concerns properly and respectfully.

Re: LA Hardware?
Edge could you please close the thread? And possibly let your staff how displeased I am, as a three year customer with the flaming.
I am satisfied with the responses received from you. I created this thread to ask about the stock of the E5-2697v3 processor. You let myself know that when stock runs out you normally refill it pretty quickly and that there is currently open capacity. You took the time to clear up any misconceptions I may have had. Apon asking if it was actually available on the 11th, you nicely let myself know that there was no way in checking, instead of reverting to discrediting the customer for doing that.

Re: LA Hardware?
I don't have a problem with someone asking if more hardware is coming to LA and I'm sorry that I don't have an exact ETA.
I'm glad to have also cleared up some misconceptions about how the system works.
I think that sticking to the facts is the best way to go and I don't like that this thread is becoming a bit toxic.
I will close it as you suggested.
