Control Panel and FTP access
If I am wanting to give someone access to my server but not give them full access is there a way i can give them a control panel of specific directories or folders in my server? Like say Im hosting a game server on Quake Live and someone wants me to host them one so i do and they want access to the config file and to be able to start stop and restart the specific gameserver themselves? How do i give them access to it without giving them full access to my box?
Re: Control Panel and FTP access
Yes, this can be done via your FTP server. You would just need to setup the home directory or root directory as the root of the game server you wish for them to access. As for allowing them access to stop/start the server. That's a bit more complicated sine you'll need to give them some type of access(RDP/SSH..etc) or come up with a system where they can issue the stop/start commands to the server remotely.
@Kraze^NFo> Juski has a very valid point

@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!

Re: Control Panel and FTP access
Are there any free control panel access i could use where they dont have to download an FTP client they can just use my website which has the control panel implemented in it so they can login with a unique username and password and access their files that way?kraze wrote:Yes, this can be done via your FTP server.
