Good afternoon . I have a problem with the mail server installed on their VPS . This is the page of the tutorial to install the mail server in ubuntu 14.04:
http://www.krizna.com/ubuntu/setup-mail ... ntu-14-04/
I followed this tutorial and I've installed it in other vps and it worked without any problem . I could send and receive emails.
I set the MX record correctly so I can RECEIVE emails are either google , hotmail and Yahho .
The problem that I have in their vps is that mail is not sent.
this is the mail.log

Re: mail server ubuntu - Cant send emails
I see that this domain currently resolves to an unmanaged VDS here at NFO.jorgeevil8 wrote: Nov 8 14:39:45 pwned postfix/qmgr[5257]: 493C33FABD: from=<jobrito@abricosa.com>, size=549, nrcpt=1 (queue active)
Keep in mind, if you are a new customer and this is a new server, port 25 is blocked for the two weeks of creation due to spam. You may be able to have it lifted early if you file a ticket.

Re: mail server ubuntu - Cant send emails
The best thing you can do is wait it out, or see if you can get it lifted early by filing a support ticket.jorgeevil8 wrote:so what should i do?? i have just 1 week in nfoservers
As I had said above, this page shows you more detailed info: viewtopic.php?f=47&t=4579
You could also take advantage of the perfectly performing web hosting packages that NFO offers (with mail and the usual) that start at only $2.99, free with a game server (not a VDS).

Re: mail server ubuntu - Cant send emails
thy answered this:
Two weeks have already passed, the port was automatically unblocked already, there is no need to wait as the port is not blocked any longer

Re: mail server ubuntu - Cant send emails
Reading through these errors, it looks like the NFO IP may have been used to send out too many e-mails through googles SMTP servers, whether by you or the previous client. It doesn't seem to be blacklisted, but it is on a timeout.jorgeevil8 wrote:Nov 8 16:20:02 mail postfix/qmgr[1056]: 298BC40ADB: from=<contacto@abricosa.com>, size=546, nrcpt=1 (queue active)

I'd suggest trying a different IP. If you cannot afford another IP address, simply move your server to another location, or even back and forth in hopes to obtain a new one in the same location. Server files will be retained.
Re: mail server ubuntu - Cant send emails
That type of error message from Google is always very temporary if you clear up the root of the problem, so it wouldn't be due to a previous customer. Definitely read Google's link.
