Need help with OpenVPN on my server

i have installed the program 'OpenVPN' and i have
successfully created a VPN on one of my servers and i have
connected to it on my laptop and it works perfectly fine so i can browse the
web safely on a VPN. butwhen i connect my Xbox to the VPN, via my laptop, it will be able to
connect to the internet but not Xbox LIVE, i have done some digging and i
think this is the reason why my Xbox cant connect to Xbox LIVE while
connected to the VPN i created on your VDS>>> "Firewalls within your network
hardware are intended to help secure your network by restricting the
information that travels between your devices and the Internet. However,
you may experience connection issues if your firewall is restricting
necessary traffic (a setting which may be blocking your Xbox from
connecting to Xbox Live). Additionally, some firewall settings, such as IP
flood detection, can cause connection issues."
so can someone help me fix this problem so my Xbox CAN connect to Xbox LIVE while
connected to the VPN i created on your VDS? therefore i will be able to
safely play games on xbox live.
i know for a fact its a problem with the server bcuz this is the only server that
the vpn wont work for xbox live, so please help

Have you disabled the firewall on the VDS to see if that allows the connection to succeed?

sorry i am replying so late, i checked the forums yesterday and for some reason it said that no one had replied to my post yet. but i have the firewall off, i even checked it and made six rules to allow all the ports (88, 80, 53, 3074) that xbox uses and it still didnt work, but now i have tried it agian and it works like a charm for some reason. so everything is good now, and its working with no firewall btw
