Windows Server 2008 R2 - Battlefield 2 Dedicated Server FTP Demo Uploading

Post by 5tarLine »

Hello People,

Really hoping someone can help me get to the bottom of this.

So I had this working last time I setup BF2 Servers with NFO. The file I'm using is exactly the same so I just edited the FTP settings (Which I know work when I try manually). I am trying to upload to my NFO web-hosting FTP address.

I really am puzzled as to why the upload is failing. Is it something to do with Windows Server 2008 R2? Do I need to change Firewall settings or install Python or something? Last time I got it to work it was on Windows Server 2003 and didn't require anything special.

Unfortunately, the rotate_demo_err.txt log file doesn't exist so that's no help.

Any ideas?

Auto_rotate.cfg Settings:

# set the number of demo files to keep in rotation
file_limit = 1000

# for local web server; edit this path and make it match the one in serversettings.con
target_root = BRDemos

# set to 1 to enable ftp uploading
use_ftp = 1

# set to the target directory on the ftp server
ftp_target_dir = /public/demos/1/

# login information for the ftp server goes here
ftp_server = hosted21.nfoservers.com
ftp_user = ********
ftp_password = ********

Please help me solve this.

Cheers,

5tarLine

Attached are the files which the script utilizes. I wonder if there is an issue because the Python was written for Server 2003 not 2008?
