well here goes...

I've played CZ for about four months now and love the game, and now that i've decided to rent a server I could'nt be more elated. however, I didn't get excactly what I was looking for. It must be just me, but it seems everyone else knows how to run servers but me. I have no idea how to use RCON commands or in game commands or do anything an owner should now how to do. I guess i was hoping that when i got the server it would come with a detailed list of instructions on all the functions. If I just missed it , I'm sorry. If not could I please be directed to were I can get something resembling my request?

yes it can be pretty confusing. we do have a guide for you which may help.
you can find it here: http://files.nfoe.net/download.php?fname=./HL_RCON.pdf
start on page 2 and just read it once, then start using them ingame if you'd like.
keep in mind that is a very general page for all half-life mods so some of those commands will be erroneous.

if you have adminmod or amx mod (tools to help you control your server) then there are guides to them as well:
