Plans for a UK Datacenter?

Post by LeeStrong »

Hi folks,
I was wondering what the liklihood of a datacenter in the UK would be in the future.
I'm very happy with my server in Frankfurt, it's held up very well so far and I'd be interested in expanding with you in the future.

Yours,
Lee.

Would be so awesome to have such a nice location. +1 for London.
Frankfurt is nice but London gives better pings to NA people. I get as low as 85-90ish ping on some London servers and I'm in eastern canada, compared to ~127 on Frankfurt.
For those who want to have a EU server while still being decent for NA it's a great location!

There are currently no plans to expand to another location, but when we do expand the UK will definitely be our next stop!
@Kraze^NFo> Juski has a very valid point
@Juski> Got my new signature, thanks!
@Kraze^NFo> Out of context!
@Juski> Doesn't matter!
@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!

London will certainly be our next European location when we are able to do it.

Our costs are higher for EU locations and every new location has a high baseline amount that we must pay (for the cabinet, power, and so on), so we'll need to have the demand for it first. Right now, Frankfurt is basically break-even, so adding another location that would cannibalize it would bring us into the red.
