I'm currently using Seattle Premium and I'm using it as a VPN and I'm in UK so UK based websites take a while to load :/
I'm wondering if the DDos protection on InterNAP is the same as being on Premium

The protection we offer doesn't differ between our Premium and Internap-only locations. Premium uses Internap with other providers added to the mix. We have more details about this listed on the network locations page on our site: https://www.nfoservers.com/networklocations.php
Using a VPN so far away and then visiting UK sites will greatly increase the round trip time for each packet, delaying the loading speed of those sites.

To clarify, the DDoS mitigation systems are the same at all locations, but Premium locations have more bandwidth than others, in the form of non-Internap bandwidth. This generally makes them more able to withstand particularly the largest types of attacks.
If you're in the UK, I'd recommend using our Frankfurt location. If you are attacked there and it can't handle the attacks, you could try NYC or Chicago.
