Open NAT on OpenVPN

Post by EvanescenceHF »

I have OpenVPN installed on my server and I'm connecting to the VPN with my Windows 10 PC and sharing the connection to my Xbox 360. At the moment while on the VPN I have a Moderate NAT type, but I'd like to get Open NAT type. Is there some way I can do this?

I am not certain of the specific process as I've never seen a need to try to use a console on a VPN, but you should be able to achieve this using a combination of config settings within OpenVPN and possibly iptables on the VPN server itself.

There is nothing here that would be preventing it, if it can be done at another provider, it could be done here.
