click on the website tab of your control panel, and you can see your mysql database information.

you probably uploaded the text files as binary, not as ascii

if you set your ftp to auto, should upload pictures in binary, text files in ascii if properly configured.

I am positive that I uploaded the .php files in ASCII, I double checked the automatic settings before I uploaded. Is there a possibility that I did the CHMOD'ing wrong? I looked in several nuke installation tutorials and they all had different numbers for files and folders...

make sure you have matching information with the info thats located on the website tab of your control panel.

remember, if you change your website password, it changes ftp pass AND mysql database pass.
