I am new to setting up my own minecraft server, but I have played FTB for a long time. I was wondering if someone could help me setup my server, I just want to be able to run the default Direwolf 1.12.2 version.
I tried to download the zip file:
https://www.technicpack.net/modpack/112 ... 20.1238787
and then try to run the FTBInstall.bat file and then the ServerStart.Bar file but I receive the message:
"Detected following JVM error:
=======================================
Error: missing `server' JVM at `C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_201\bin\server\jvm.dll'.
Please install or use the JRE or JDK that contains these missing components.
=======================================
JVM test failed. Can't run server, Exiting...
Press any key to continue . . ."
to which I was recommended to download Java JDK and I downloaded the Windows x64 version from here:
https://www.oracle.com/java/technologie ... loads.html
but still receive the same message.
Any suggestions would be appreciated thank you!

Re: Setting up Feed the Beast Direwolf 1.12.2
If you are renting the server from NFO I believe all of their Minecraft servers are only hosted on the Linux platform. Without knowing much about Minecraft servers anymore, it's been years since I've had one, I would suggest trying to download the Java JDK for Linux and install that to see if that fixes your problem.

Which Linux one would you suggest from the link?
Re: Setting up Feed the Beast Direwolf 1.12.2
Is this a server we manage, or on an Unmanaged VDS?

Re: Setting up Feed the Beast Direwolf 1.12.2
It is a NFO server.
Re: Setting up Feed the Beast Direwolf 1.12.2
If it is a standard Minecraft server, you wouldn't need to install Java on it.
Are you trying to run the server once locally and then upload it to the server FTP by chance?
If so, you'd want to install something like this on your PC before running that installer: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/cold ... ws-x64.exe
