Team Balance ??

Post by beerbob »

Hello peeps!

Running a BF1942 ( DC ) server with Black BagOPS BFRM.

What I want to know is if there is a better way or plugin/addon to manage Team balancing.
I know the built in Team balance can be turned on , but the problem with it is this:

If set to on , and even with smart balancing engaged, the server will engage and switch whomever is dead when it is active. So it goes active to balance, switches whoever dies after that and then turns off.

Not good!

It is not fair for people who may have played all round on a team, to be ripped to the other side ( sometimes 3 or 4 times a round )because they died when team balance was on because some other idiots joined the server and stacked the teams by 2 or 3.
Or worse, What I notice when using it is that people will actually stay dead or disconnect and come back after teams have been rebalanced so they can jump in on the team they were on. I understand that, I don't like to get jerked around between teams either.

When I ran a TFC server for years I used adminmod and the clientexec function to force people to RED or BLUE as needed if they did not listen.
I was hoping for something like that for a BF server, but do not think it exists.
Am I correct?

or perhaps someone here has a better solution.

It gets old to have to constantly badger people to keep teams even.
What usually happens is they get kicked for not listening to requests.

So any thoughts?

Thanks.
