STEAM Validation Rejected!

On March 3rd, 2026, Valve re-released CSGO under a new appid, 4465480. However, it kept the old appid as 730 in the game server files, which means only users using the "CSGO legacy" branch of CS2 will be able to join. For users playing with the new CSGO appid, they get the error "STEAM validation rejected" when trying to join.

If you wish to use the new appid instead, here's how you can update it:

1. Visit your NFO control panel and select your gameserver.
2. Verify your CSGO server is turned off on the "Server control" tab.
3. Using your preferred FTP client, connect to your server's FTP using the credentials listed on the "File Manager" tab.

4. In the root ("/") directory, download "steam_appid.txt" to your computer.
5. Delete the remote copy of "steam_appid.txt" on the server.
6. Edit "steam_appid.txt" with a text editor, and replace "730" with "4465480".
7. Save the new version, and upload back to the root ("/") directory.
8. Repeat this process with "steam.inf" in the "/csgo/" directory.
