I can't get the plugin to work

Post by tman456 »

I downloaded BeetleFart's plugin and can't get it to work. I downloaded it, then unzipped and saved the contents to D:\Sierra\SteamApps\tman456\counter-strike source\cstrike like it told me to. And that is all the instructions say. But they aren't showing up on my server and aren't working. Also, when i put empty_version into my console it says unknown command. What am I doing wrong?

the files need to go on the server, not your client side

in the root directory, the folders/files you see when you click on the ftp link, they go in there, shoudl create an addons folder if you upload all the folders to the FTP.

I did that.

Do I have to restart my server for it to work because I have people in it and don't wanna restart unless I know it will work.

if you have all the files in the right places, addons, sounds, etc, and have admins.txt edited with your proper full steamid and edited defaults.cfg to your liking, then yes, you need a restart for the server to initialize it

Ok one last question.

I have them in my ftp and also uploaded onto my file manager.

In the ftp it is not the right Steamid but under the file manager it is.

Under the file manager everything is set right.

Now if that isn't right do i have to edit the ftp and how do i edit admin?

the file manager simply shows whats in the ftp, thats text files

perhaps you have two of the same files in different locations, one correct one incorrect

should look like addons/admins.txt, addons/*.txt for the other txt files
