Post by ClanPikachu »

Hey guys. I am getting alot of disgruntled players complaining about hackers and my admins are complaning that all they do now is admin. What is a good program out there that will help to combat this. Is hlguard worth anything will CD slow down the server? Any help here would be great.

CD will slow down hackers if set to required, for sure.

there will always be vac and CD proof hacks, but CD is the most up to date anti cheat on the client side.

Hlguard is a server side which is limited to what it can detect and do.

Is there any real reason or value you can see to add hlgaurd to the server? Will it impact the server on a negitve way like performance?

not unless you run speed block, wall block, aimbot detection all on at once, that can cause lag and use up system resources. Filechecking can also do this.
