Addon installation generally doesn't change much, most addons just go into "garrysmod/addons" folder, but some can deviate from this path or may require additional steps, so it's important to read the installation guide for each one.

Addons downloaded via SVN or from the workshop will be installed and mounted automatically, though.

My post above should be enough to get you started but I also asked for what addons you were installing so we could provide better help.

For an addon simply extract the file to the garrysmod/addons folder. Or you could take each individual file in the folder and move it to it's proper location

i know but when i install them the server just gets messed up and then i have to delete it
