Another server-hosting newb question, but what's the difference between a normal game server like this: https://www.nfoservers.com/order.php
and a full machine like this: https://www.nfoservers.com/order-dedicated-server.php

Re: Dedicated Machine VS Game server
Overall they're fairly similar in terms of features/performance. A dedicated machine will allow for completely dedicated resources and the highest possible performance, if in a managed state. Normally a dedicated machine would be for people who know what they want to do or currently have a few servers but would like to add more or ensure the best possible performance.onslaught56 wrote:Another server-hosting newb question, but what's the difference between a normal game server like this: https://www.nfoservers.com/order.php

@Kraze^NFo> Juski has a very valid point
@Juski> Got my new signature, thanks!
@Kraze^NFo> Out of context!
@Juski> Doesn't matter!
@Juski> You said I had a valid point! You can't take it back now! It's out there!

Re: Dedicated Machine VS Game server
I prefer buying each server individually.

Re: Dedicated Machine VS Game server
A VDS is actually quite good for saving money on some games and are also much more flexible. If you can afford it a dedicated machine is the way to go.
