5min ban

Ok...I've done some searching and found nothing...
I want my low level admins to be able to ban for 5min 20min what ever i decide...so that they can keep out the hackers that keep coming back...but i don't want them to be able to perma ban....

I also want to take away the voteban (j - amx_vote and other vote commands) with out taking away the votemap and things like that....is there any way to get this done

well.. you can give them a menu with 5,10,15 minute ban on it.. for the voteing.. you may have to modify the .sma file to prevent it then compile it and upload it.. I had to do that with a file once.. and it works.. unless you have no idea what your doing. Thats my advice anyhow.

With amx use the mod menu.. and set it the times you want the people to be banned with. With other menus set the access higher if you want.

I'm getting better with the mod menu (ie adding things to the clmenu) but I dunno how to make a new menu....I'll probably have to get with you in irc.

my only other question is even if you make them a special menu...you still have to give them the custom level for ban...and then they would be able to use the cmd in the con....right?

I don't think.. if the have the menu execute the ban from the server console they don't need the timed ban.

I give all my admins access to banx... its a simple plugin that gives ban for 24 hours or however long you decide... works great...
