DNS creation on a server

Post by hepil »

Hi to all

I've just rent here a server under windows 2012
I want first configure a secondary DNS zone here to have a security for my own DNS primary server as expected in each domain

I try to configure the secondary zone here with DNS manager but never this zone want to connect to the primary DNS

The primary DNS is well set and many other secondary are already available

the message of error is:

Zone Not Loaded by DNS Server
"The DNS server encountered a problem while attempting to load the zone ..." :
DNS error.jpg

I didn't find any solution to this issue :(
Is it an access issue ?

I recommend against using the DNS server included with Windows because it has limited capabilities and can be used more effectively as a reflector in DDoS attacks. BIND is much better in these regards, although it is less user-friendly.

I don't know very much about configuring the Microsoft one, myself.

hello
thank you for your response
I'm about to install bind onto the windows server and disable MS windows DNS

I'll try then the synchronous process between BIND and my main primary DNS server (Windows 2008 R2).
I'll come back quickly
