Heartbleed

Post by jdcoolha »

I kind of know the answer to this, but due to recent events, and for the service of other members.

Will the Heartbleed bug affect NFO webserver customers in any way? Will it affect us in general?

NFO has already patched all of their web hosting nodes to fix this exploit, as they have posted here: https://www.facebook.com/nfoservers/pos ... 9366885717

Our main webserver and mail server have never been vulnerable, so customer data (login information, for instance) has never been exposed. SSL customer sites on hosted machines have been using OpenSSL 1.0.1 since earlier this year and we quickly patched them with the new version on April 7. For the limited number of customers running SSL websites, having the SSL certificate provider issue you a new key would be advisable -- if you are among them, please contact us to work on generating the new key and CSR.
