CS:S Server not starting / responding

Hi , I just changed a few stuff on the server and then when i want to start the server it tells me its not responding or whatever and when I close and come back to the control panel , it tells me the server is changing map or completly down.

Please I need help !

Enable -condebug on the "Server Control" tab, and check the console.log created in the cstrike folder. Also check sourcemod logs if you have it installed.

I have sourcemod installed. The server stoped working right after I installed Manimod and now it doesn't want to start. I did what you just told me but still not working

What I said will give you logs to find out what isn't working, it won't fix your issue. Typically Mani and Sourcemod won't work together, so that might be your issue.

There can be hundreds of different things causing your server not to boot, try posting your console.log here or PM me on steam and I might be able to point out the issue for you.

Remove mani_admin_plugin.dll (or mani_admin_plugin_i486.so if you have a linux server) then try to restart. If it restarts then unless you know someone who knows how to fix the gametypes.txt file you will not be able to use mani as it is now a dead plugin.

I would not recommend trying to run Mani at this point. Since it's not officially maintained, you'd have to look to random community members to try to get fixes out after every new game update, and you won't see any bugfixes or new features for the base plugin. Mani was also always a bit hacky and unstable -- which could be forgiven, because it was one of the first plugin systems for Source -- so Sourcemod is just a better option now (Sourcemod came out long after Mani did).

I understand why folks want to use Mani. It had many unique, and handy, features Sourcemod does not. Too bad it died.

I find it hard to believe there are any features in mani that sourcemod doesn't have an addon for.
