How do I set up mySQL database to work with pointshop

I downloaded the point shop addon made by _Undefined on facepunch and installed Mysqloo. I then edited the config file to connect to the database I made using the database tab. Every time the server changes maps the points get reset. I don't know why it's not saving and I don't know much about MySQL at all. Also how would I set up a donation system using PayPal as in they donate and get added to a user group in Ulx then given some points.

dose the mysql user have write access?
Take a look in the server logs for errors.

Thanks for the help, problem was I didn't check off allow remote connections.
