Player names broken

I've run into an issue with this recent Garry's Mod server update. I'd like to post about it to see if anyone else has encountered it as well.

A player with an accented character in their username joined my server, and their name was cut off right before that letter. I have tested this with other accented characters in my own Steam name, and it also cuts the name off right before said character.

I don't have any reason to believe this is caused by addons, as I don't have any addons installed that modify player names. I was also watching the remote console when the player joined, and it also showed their name as being cut off.

If anyone has any workarounds to this, it would be very appreciated.

I believe the issue that you are referring to is due to fonts rendering improperly on your machine. It may be a good idea to check with other users on different OSes, and see if they also encounter this problem.

I have seen the same thing before, and it is just a quirk of Garry's Mod as far as I know.
