I am having an issue, where whenever someone presses the letter p they get a bunch of weapons and ammo. I am unsure of how to fix this issue if anyone could be of some assistance that would be great thank you

I am running a darkrp server and am unsure if it is an addon we are using or if it is something else

Do you have sv_cheats 1?

sv_cheats needs to be 0.

We need the cheats to be set at 1 for the admin purposes, I just need to know how to set it so that when players press the letter p they don't receive the free guns and ammo

having sv_cheats 1 is a BIG NONO.

It can allow players to take over your server when they please, and provides easy commands to wallhack etc.

You do not need sv_cheats 1, and if you think you do, you need to find a new way to do things while having it off.

Ok how do i enable godmode and all of those other things for admins then with the sv cheats set to 0 will they just do it in rcon or is there another way to do it?

I think DarkRP provides most of this functionality.

Ok so setting it to 0 will remove that ability but should still provide the admins with the functions they need like god mode and ban and kick and such to help monitor the server

I am not 100% sure. I do know that sv_cheats NEEDS to be set to 0 on a public server.

It is set to 0 by default, just remove the line that sets it to 1 and you should be good to go.

that did not fix the problem. it still happens whenever I press the letter P i get a pulse rifle and rpg and 9mm and a bunch of other stuff that I shouldn't be getting period

Did you confirm that the command is currently set to 0 by running "sv_cheats" in the server console? If that didn't work try giving the server a reboot.
