Windows or linux?

If windows, do you get a popup saying "windows encountered an error" or something like that when you log back in?

Windows, and no there are no pop ups, its just that all applications which were online were shut down and there was no information or dialog box or anything like that.

When you log back into remote desktop, does windows do something like a login process, or does it immediately dump you at the desktop.

When you load into windows, is there a popup saying "Windows recovered from an unexpected error" or something?

It sounds like you are having the same issue I am, blue screens on 2008R2 on my unmanaged VDS.
