If i was to purchase a server, would i be able to add on any mod's like the specialists or rats mod or anything like that??

You can't change between, or add, game mods like Counter-strike or TFC to our game servers. You can, however, alter metamod plugins, if that's what you meant.

Naw, i was meaning something like having The Specialists mod added into my counterstriek server. Or something like rats - mod. Those are 3rd party modifications to counterstrike.

Hey wait, isn't the specialists a whole another game??

I've played a half-life mod called the specialists, if thats what you mean, then I don't think you could do that. Hey, NFO, you should offer to host those as well

What i wanted to find out is there is a new mod coming out and some good friends have been looking for hosting for it but have not been able to get because they do not have a linux version of the mod ready yet. It is a windows server version. The mod is called rats- mod. It is really cool and intresting. The website address is http://www.rats-mod.net
Just wondering if there would be a problem setting this up? If you have any questions about the mod, please ask and i can pass along and get the info.

Also the specialists is another game but it is a 3rd party modification to half life counterstrike. 3rd party being not made by valve

just to clarify, there are 2 different kinds of things we are talking about:

one is a Half-Life mod (like counterstrike, DoD, TFC, etc.)
the other is a Counter-Strike Metamod Plugin (adminmod, amxmod, warcraft3mod)

This "rats-mod" is a half-life mod, not a Counter-Strike (metamod) plugin. We will have to check this out and test it to determine if we can host it and what the price would be.
oooorrr, if any of you know how to run a dedicated server machine, you can rent those from us too; http://www.nfoservers.com
that way you could run multiple servers to promote your mod.

How long would it take to test and get a pricing on this server?? I would like to look into this quickly as i would like to rent soon

Not trying to rush, just would like to find out first if this mod is going to work on your servers. My friend went to other server companys in europe and they all have said they cannot do it because they do not have alinux version of this mod. Thats the reasoning why im here. Please let me know
