Gmod server not working properly

My server was running great for about a week, then all of the sudden a few days ago it stopped working correctly. It is super laggy and most of the time only wants to run on 3 FPS, when it's clearly told to run at 33 in the config.

People are having issues joining too, it takes about 5 minutes longer than it should. I contacted support and they said they don't offer support for this type of thing, so I am posting here.

Just a quick detail to add on to this, it's not even letting people play. It says "disconnecting" about every 5 seconds.

Does this also happen on a fresh install? What sort of CPU and memory usage do you have?

A fresh install of a game server or OS? If you mean a game server, it still happens.

My CPU and memory usage is pretty low.

Even though you did a fresh install did you also run it at stock?

What do you mean by stock? Like resetting the VDS? No, I have not tried that. I am really not sure what would be causing this issue.

I mean a stock install of the Gmod server, even though the install was fresh did you also leave it at stock?
