Lag issues

Hey guys i am running a minecraft server on a VDS, i am currently experienceing great lag issues the longer you stay on the longer it takes for communication to and from the server it may only start off with 30 seconds of lag but eventually it becomes minutes

For others to be able to contribute, you'll need to throw in more details such as weather unmanaged or managed, amount of players, configuration, logs, etc.
