Why dont boxes come with free webhosting?
This is an issue that is making me wanna leave NFO. Why cant i upgrade and not keep my free webhosting?

Game servers come with free web hosting for a few reasons, but mainly it's became an industry standard to offer some type of website/forum with a game server purchase, and just about every host allows free fastdl. A way to kill two bird with one stone is to provide them with basic web hosting.
A virtual server is a completely different ball park and it makes sense we'd charge for a service which may see a lot of activity. Since our web hosting starts at $2.99 I'd consider it a steal, especially since just about anywhere else is going to charge $8.99.

VDS comes under 2 different setups:
Unmanaged
In this setup, you are free to run anything that doesn't break NFO terms of service. Setting a web server is really easy on a Linux box. I never tried it on Windows, but it should be fairly simple as well.
Managed
Managed box can only have game servers on it. I do recall John saying it somewhere that there is a way to add web hosting to the same box.
To me free IPs make up for the lack of web hosting on managed box.
Additional IP costs $1.99 each, and managed box starts at $39.99. If we compare a 4 core unmanaged vs managed, then you will notice that you end up paying more for additional IPs on unmanaged box then separate web hosting.

The reason that webhosting is not included in VDS packages is that we just don't build it into the price as we do with game servers. This is because we expect nearly all game server customers to need webhosting, but we expect for most VDS customers to not need it (because they may be running it themselves, or may be running something that doesn't need a website).
