DDoS's attacks

Post by ramboided »

Hello guys,

My history is this:

We are a small comunity of gamers, but we are getting every day a DDoS's attack, we hosted our services in another host, but it doesnt have a decent DDoS protection, i heard about NFO but its too expensive, but i think NFO can help us in this way:

Our players get connected to the main server using a "proxy" the open the game and then the proxy send them to the right place.

I can do something i can setup that proxy to run in a cheap NFO VPS and send them to the current host, my machine there is 32Gb of ram and a good processor.

This VPS of 8$ here on NFO
Linux only Single core

One full, dedicated HT CPU core (Nehalem or better)
1024 MB of RAM
100 GB of RAID-protected storage
4000 GB of bandwidth transfer
Restricted to Linux installs
No SSD or extra-memory options
Can stop these DDoS's attacks? Does it have a firewall device?
Hope you can clear my doubt.
Thanks

This is not allowed by the NFO ToS: https://www.nfoservers.com/termsofservice.php
Clients of Virtual Dedicated Servers (also known as "VDS", "VPS", "virtual machines", and "virtual servers") and dedicated machines (also known as "dedicated servers" and "machines") may not:

+ Run a tunnel or proxy to a server at another host
A VDS here is a good choice if you want to host small servers, and they are pretty affordable.

You wont find a host willing to be a mitigation proxy without spending a decent amount of money.

I suggest you find a hosting plan here that can support your servers.
