Problem with transferring old website to NFO

Post by XavierM »

I had a website at my old host, which I won't mention unless asked for due to advertisement, and I didn't like the bandwidth I was given. I decided to use the website NFO supplied, and I transferred everything over, the database and everything, with the help of your amazing support staff Vanderburg, completely fine, but when I click certain things (login, members page), it redirects me to the old host's site. Any help? Please help ASAP.

EDIT: Yes, I have edited the mybb_settings table in the database using new URLs.

Thanks,
Xavier

You shouldn't/don't need to edit the table directly, those are basically only a cache of the settings file(s). You need to edit config.inc.php/settings.php in the 'inc' directory, if I recall right.

MyBB has a great support forum over at http://community.mybb.com/ - might be better to ask software specific questions for it over there.

I had already done that, and it was just for the database stuff, but thanks anyway, I'll have a look at MyBB's forums.

Are you using your own domain with us or the provided sub domain? Also, feel free to post your site URL so we can see what you're seeing.

The website URL is http://republicgaming.site.nfoservers.com/forums, click something like login or the members page and it will redirect you to my old host. I'm using the provided subdomain.

Did you also update your "homeurl" in your settings.php file for MyBB?
