Hi guys, I've been running game servers with NFO for some time, previously through a gaming community I ran servers for, now for myself. I run CS:GO servers on a managed VDS which require a 100% stable and reliable MySQL connection due to their gametypes & statistics logging. I have additional webhosting purchased through NFO which includes the ability to create MySQL databases.
In the past, I have had very few issues, but lately I've been having lots of issues with the MySQL connection from my servers, up to 5 times a day I have interruptions. Twice in the past 3 weeks the disk that my databases are stored on has suddenly become full (to no fault of my own, other customers). When these issues arise my servers become worthless bricks, players cannot do anything and simply leave. Lots of the time this is during peak hours, which hurts greatly. I've contacted support and they have suggested moving to an unmanaged VDS, where I can host my databases locally.
My problem with this is that I prefer the managed-style VDS - automatic game updates, easy control panel access, automatic crash restarts, easy game setup, etc. Is there no way to add access to databases on my local managed machine, so I don't experience major connection issues?
Really looking for some solutions which don't involve a complete exhausting move over to an unmanaged VDS, which I have no experience with, over something as simple as a MySQL database. Any thoughts?

Have you considered adding a Linux-only unmanaged VDS at the same location as your managed services, and using it only for MySQL? This is the standard solution that we recommend for those customers who need low-latency, particularly high-availability, MySQL server connections that do not have connection limits.
