Does sv_downloadurl support HTTPS?

Does sv_downloadurl support HTTPS?

I wasn't sure where this is fit the best in, so feel free to move it if you believe it fits into one of the sub-forums.

Basically I'm wondering if the web server used for the so-called 'fast download' uses a valid and trusted certificate, will it function over HTTPS or does it fallback to downloading directly from the server?

If it does, does it support SNI?
