How do i connect my filezilla to the dedicated server i created on the VDS?

Filezilla is a FTP client. You need to run FTP server on your VDS, and then connect to it from Filezilla.

that is one way. another way you can do is by using sftp in filezilla.
you dont need anything to be installed in the VDS

first open up your site manager window by clicking the icon below file.
second, click new site
optional: name your server
third, where it says host, enter your servers IP
do NOT enter anything in port
protocol MUST be SFTP - SSH file transfer, just click the box and select SFTP
logon type MUST be normal
fourth, enter your username and pass.
fith then click connect!
