Dear,
I have a problem with the remote connection to my Windows VPS.
I want to be able to connect from an external server to a local database within my VPS. I'm using wamp.
I have the necessary ports open. But the problem persists.
I have tested the connection with other virtual servers and it works perfectly but the error is only inside the NFO VPS. I do not know if NFO blocks remote connections by default or something. Having said that, I hope you can give me a solution.
PS: Sorry for the English, the problem is that I speak Spanish. Hehe
Remote Connection.

Re: Remote Connection.
The only block on new VDSs is port 25, for the first two weeks, and is automatically lifted after that (This is explained in the Terms of Service when you sign up).
We don't use NAT, so there's no port forwarding. All of the traffic going to your IP goes right to your VDS, because you're the only one with that IP, so you don't need to "open" any ports, there just needs to be software listening on them.
We also don't recommend you install WAMP, or any other preconfigured Apache stack. You should instead install each individual component, downloaded directly from the developers, as the preconfigured stacks are often very lacking in security and aren't updated nearly as frequently as the base software itself.
