Hi,
I am trying to download Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA via SteamCMD but am having a unexplained issue. It's not fully downloading all Arma 2 addon pbo files (Arma 2\Addons). It just says the app is fully installed. I know this because when I go to launch my Arma 2 DayZ Overpoch Server it gives me some errors for missing Arma 2 content like Chernarus. I included a link below to a post I made on the Epoch Forums that includes the bat file I am using.
I just wanted to see if you guys know anything about this as like I said in the post I tried this on multiple computers/networks even my VDS and it's giving me the same issue. I believe it's a Steam issue but its been going on for a few weeks from what I can tell so I don't know.
So if you know anything about this issue or can help me that would be cool. If not, I understand.

Re: Arma 2 via SteamCMD not downloading all files
I would need your RPT file for additional info to check what is not working here when you try to connect.
What you should do though is to start the server without any mods and try a default ArmA2 mission that comes package with the game.
Also, you are downloading the client installation (which is possible and not wrong), but you can also download the smaller dedicated server files with the App IDs:
ArmA2: https://steamdb.info/app/33905/
ArmA2 OA: https://steamdb.info/app/33935/
You also have the option to upload your (full) client installation using a FTP connection of course.

I will also try out those suggestions and see if that works.
Thanks!
Re: Arma 2 via SteamCMD not downloading all files
So tried those APP Id's and Arma 2 gives this error in the SteamCMD Console ("Failed installing AppID 33903 (Invalid platform)") and Arma 2 OA only downloads the arma2oaserver.exe.

Re: Arma 2 via SteamCMD not downloading all files
Indeed, those app ids are a bit strange when I tried them (did not check it before, sorry). You also have the option to download the server files from the official Bohemia site:
http://www.arma2.com/download
https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arm ... ted_Server
These should be the latest builds.
You can also install the Steam client on your server and either install the complete game, or in your Steam library under tools select the dedicated server files (though I would leave that as a last option, running the Steam client on a server is not the best idea).
From the RPT file it looks like the content was not installed in the correct folder, or the overpoch mod is missing a dependency (ACR maybe, you can also get it throught the official download). Ther

Re: Arma 2 via SteamCMD not downloading all files
Haha no worries! I wonder If the repo on steam for Arma 2 is messed up. I might reach out to Steam Support. Also, indeed I was missing @Epoch as I deleted it to try and download the server fresh thinking it was @Epoch_Server. Also, I think the wiki only lets you download new builds of the exe and not the full game files. Ether way, for now I am going to use the Steam Client and send in a ticket to Steam. I will post a update back in a few yearsCaliban55 wrote:Indeed, those app ids are a bit strange when I tried them (did not check it before, sorry).
