Sharing Ban files?

Post by Brother**Funk »

I have been talked to by a few NF server owners one being "Delightful Scent" (heh that name makes me laugh) about sharing Ban list.

They currently keep a Master list ready for download anytime so all you have to do is just DL their master list every once in a awhile and email them your list once a month.

It sounds like a good idea and I am willing to do it I was just wondering if anyone else had been talked to about this and would they want to get in on it to?

The great thing is if you ever lost your Ban list they keep a master back up so you could easly have your list back.

Anyways I was just wondering who out there is doing this currently.

its a good idea, however sometimes people are banned for being nuisances or talking crap to the admins, not necessarily hacking. Also there could be some false bans for hackers, you must trust their judgement for detecting hackers

Hope you get some other servers to join in, and good luck with the project :)

i have thought of that idea before as well but now it seems like a better idea since VAC hasnt been updating.
if you want, you can register on our community forums at http://forums.nuclearfallout.net and view our global ban list at http://forums.nuclearfallout.net/viewtopic.php?t=3045
now, the majority of those would be hackers, but there is also the occasional nuisance ban.
