Nuclear Fallout Website
Can someone help me with my Nuclearfallout Website ? i dont know anything about how to use it.
Ok lets try to cover this in one shot.
The "website" provided to you by us with your server is simply a subdomain of nuclearfallout.net (i.e. http://SOMETHING.nuclearfallout.net). It is nothing more than an entry in a Designated Name Server and a space on our web server's hard drive.
This website (more accurately called webspace) comes completely empty, a "clean slate", if you prefer. We provide you with an FTP for the webspace (just like your gameserver) to which you can upload files which would then be accessable as http://SOMETHING.nuclearfallout.net/SOMETHING.file.
To get a pretty website rather than a list of files, you need to upload an index to your ftp's main directory. An index is most typically in the PHP or HTML format. For instructions on making html files, browse the internet for "html tutorials". That may sound lame to you, but trust me, that is where we all began.
The more you learn the more interesting and unique things you can do with your website. To start off, you might want to create forums (like these forums) or a "website in a box" (aka PHPNuke) on your webspace. You can do this via the auto-installer we provide in your control panel.
I wish you good luck, and urge you to have fun. It can get really boring really quickly if you're not having fun.
