FTP Transfer Error

Post by Noise »

I'm getting a "Critical transfer error" trying to transfer files to the maps area. I know how to FTP - I do it all the time. I get the same error in IE and with the commandline ftp utility built in XP. I just took over admining this server so maybe I'm missing something here.

At first I thought maybe we reached our 2GB limit, so I deleted about 30MB of old files. It still got the error, maybe I have to wait overnight for your quota to update?

Below is a screenshot of filezilla. A picture is worth a thousand words. Hope noone gets mad if it stretches the fourms because it's a fairly large screenshot.

on what map are you getting the critical error on?

if the map is already on there, you will get a critical error.

list of maps preinstalled for cs 1.6:

As you can see from the screenshot I'm trying to download some texture files for de_mice2.

Oh!

Maybe the texture files in de_mice2.zip are original CS textures? Damn... I didn't even think of that.

Yup... I just re-tried it with everything but the tga files and everything else went in fine. Grrr... I hate it when authors zip up original files in their map distributions.

Thanks for your help Nick. That was the problem :)

ok wasn't sure if it was on de_mice2 for sure or not

if not in the original it could be from a different map

if the map works with no errors, then you are fine 8)
