Post by honpre88 »

my server is kicking everyone during game randomly shutting down its pissing me off everything is setup correctly and i want to play but once the server gets busy either half r kicked or all but seeing as though the only support i can find on this site is forums im guessing i will have to wait for a response just to give u guys to know my dam server info y dont u guys just use a ticket type support deal where i can just open a ticket and u guys can fix the problem . i know there is email and IRC but i would rather do it right on the site rather then opening a different program y doesnt it just have it in the control panel for support seems ridiculous it would save u guys alot of time rather then having to figure out everyones info by the email or irc name

This problem plagues many server owners and has been recognized by VALVe. The trouble is, VALVe doesnt know how to fix it. For a long time, we didnt know what caused it; but now we think we may have a solution. I'm gonna guess you really dont feel like reading that (but you should); but basically it says that WE think the problem stems from too much dataflow from the server to clients. It happens almost exclusively on larger servers that run mods like CSDeathmatch or WarCraft3. We also find that it happens on the map de_aztec, since it is a very data-intensive map. Sadly, there is no foolproof solution to these problems (aside from limiting those types of mods, and not playing de_aztec very often), however we offer one solution in that thread I posted before.

Actually, if you email us, we have your email address, which is linked directly to your servers so we instantly know which one is yours. If you come to us in IRC, we talk to you in real time, so we can get your info very fast through that method as well. The slowest method of direct help with your server would indeed be through these forums (even though it can be blazingly fast here too).

ummm..... this problem is not effecting everyone i guarantee that because i cant stay in the server for an hour and play cs witout being kicked or wtching 7 guys drop at the same time i can however play for hours on end at another nFo atl location server....... im sad to say but if i m only going to be able to maintain half of a 18 slot server because of kicks then i m going to cancel . its a waste of money ,wtching my server empty out in the middle of great gaming and having fun. this is not y i m spending over 100$ a month

You may have missed b0oya's post. Please read it and try the solution candidate mentioned in the thread he references (the one also stickied in this forum, http://rentalforums.nuclearfallout.net/ ... php?t=1872 ).

The problem isn't on our end, or on your end -- it's an issue with the game itself. We believe what's mentioned in that thread is a possible solution.
