Can't connect to any nuclearfallout vent servers
Just yesterday I was able to connect to my friend's vent server. But, randomly today, every time I try to connect, it says "Unable to connect to server." I've tried connecting to other non-nuclearfallout servers, and they work fine for me. I also tried connecting to the test server (5690) and still no go. Anyone have any idea why this started happening? I have Time Warner Roadrunner cable as my ISP, if that's relevant.
Actually, your ISP is relevant in this situation. Cogent and Level3, two large backbones, are at the moment NOT peering with eachother at all. This means that all data destined for Cogent via Level3 will not go through. Time Warner uses Level3 as a backbone and because of this, you are essentially blocked from connecting to anything on Cogent bandwidth, this includes our Seattle ventrilo servers. You might notice certain websites not working for you either, same situation.
Ventrilo servers at other locations should be fine. eg: ventrilo.nuclearfallout.net port 3890
