Hacker Hacked Our Server. Wtf
Aight. i was playing today with lilazngirl from my clan on d2. and this guy. joins called -=D|D=- Marshall - STEAM_0:0:3327256 . jus starts coming in here. and callin her a hoe. so i having full admin and control panel, jus keeped slaying him. then after. we go 2 he_tennis and he told lilazngirl on he_tennis. saying hes a hacker. and if he gets banned and he ll fuck our server up. He leaves, then our server starts to lag like shit. i live in BC, Canada and Our server is in seattle, so i get like 30-40 ping but he, made both our ping like go to a 400-900 constant. so then i restart the server. (it took a long time 2 load control panel also). Server restarts and it was fine for like 3 mins until He joins again, so i ban him immediatly. and. he continiues 2 make our server lag. and now. my server is @ non responding, but if i view server info. u can see that its alive but having like 1500-2000 ping. Our server ip is 66.150.164.31:27015 . Wtf do i do?
Emailing NFo is the best @ rentals at nuclearfallout.net - In my opinion, that is probably a direct DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service). It seems that he probably sent too many packets and they caused channel overflow that caused the "good" packets to be "lost." What you should do:
1) rcon_password <password here>
2) rcon status
3) get the guys' ip address
4) give the ip to proper authorities (NFo & ISP)
If you can't do that anymore:
1) go into your FTP
2) Check your logs folder
3) find the log that he is in
4) find his IP that way
5) do step 4 of above
1) rcon_password <password here>
2) rcon status
3) get the guys' ip address
4) give the ip to proper authorities (NFo & ISP)
If you can't do that anymore:
1) go into your FTP
2) Check your logs folder
3) find the log that he is in
4) find his IP that way
5) do step 4 of above
