Source Server Tickrates?

Post by zaNe »

What are the primary Tickrate settings for Nuclearfallout Servers, I used to know this, but I've been out of the gaming state for almost a year, and just getting back into it, and Im thinking about renting a Day of Defeat: Source server for a buncha friends and myself... so, like I asked, what are the tickrates, and whats the price difference(if any) between 33-100 tickrate servers per slot?

Thanks.

Day of Defeat:Source's default tickrate is 66. If you get one of the ping accelerator options on the order page here, you can increase that to 85 or 100. The difference in pricing for a higher tickrate then default 66 isn't per slot, its a flat price option of like $19.99 per month currently for the ping accelerator. This also lowers ingame latency and increases server side FPS.

Alright, thanks for the quick response Nick, you probably dont remember me, I was a former GZ/SU admin for 1.6 and I left without notice bcz I had no access to internet for about 4 months.

1 more question, about how long does it take to get payments via paypal using a bank accnt?

Thanks again! :P

I remember you Zane, just didn't know if that was the same zane or a new one :) It depends on the bank, it can take 2-10 days. If you have the bank account attached, paypal should be able to retrieve the funds needed and then send them to us. The funds do not need to be physically in the paypal account, in fact paypal prefers to take it from sources of funds like a CC or bank account.
