Currently another company's customer and have been for some time now.
My server is a COD 2 / 32 player public running Linux.
The performance IMO is ok, i have not had any complaints as of yet.
The support is Ok, just takes forever to get a ticket resolved
My questions to you are:
1. How do you consider yourselfs against GD? Any competition?
2. Can I choose Linux over Windows for my server?
3. Server performance, will I have a smooth playing game server that is lag free and all hits register?
4. Command line changes, will I be able to add +set fs_game XXXXXX to my command line to run mods? Or will I have to submit a ticket and wait 3 days for it to be added?
Thanks!
Next to a specific competitor?

We try to avoid direct comparisons to specific companies here, in order to avoid creating bad blood.
1. We consider ourselves strong competition for any other GSP. We have more advanced and optimized systems than most or all of our competitors, and we use faster hardware and better bandwidth than most or all as well. We pride ourselves on quick and effective Live chat support. I can't easily think of any competitor that exceeds us in an area other than absolute price. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for
2. All of our game servers run on Windows for performance and compatibility reasons. (CoD2 servers, and most others, perform extremely well on Windows, likely due to the fact that they were designed for Windows and Windows generally has more optimized hardware drivers.) Our webservers and email servers run Linux.
3. We do our best and have advanced monitoring and load-balancing systems that keep CPU usage low across the board to maintain performance. If you ever do have a problem -- sometimes a plugin, game bug, or routing issue can disrupt your experience -- we would encourage you to immediately contact us about it.
4. Our control panel often allows renters to choose between their uploaded mod and the default game through the Server control page (many popular mods are scanned for). With a CoD2 server, if you named the mod to match your server identifier, it would also automatically appear there. If your mod does not show up, you can email us and we can add it for you within a matter of hours.
