Well here it is DO NOT USE this host they will rip you off in a heart beat . Im payed up through next month.The Server went down 1 to many times there and i sent a support ticket in forms asking them about e-mails iv sent .Why i havent got a responce from RANDY? Here is what i got back. Oh by the way i said sh*t in the form and also said sry.

SERVER DOWN AGAIN

Hey guys server & control panle are down cant get to sh*t. Im payed up through next month. We payed up front and seems like we have had nothing but trouble since we did that. I work out of my garage and it takes from me when i have to stop and come in and fix whats wrong. If i cant get it i send into you guys. Iv sent RANDY e-mails about things but i think he must have broken fingers because i have not got anything back & trust me i keep a close eye open for replys. Anyway everthing is down we are payed up. Also seeing we are payed through Sept that will be our last month unless you want to send our last 20.00 back to paypal? We will be moveing back to our old host. Doug your a good guy and i like you but i cant pay for something we cant use. Thanks Jeff / Jester

We have 3 servers not responding for unknown reasons. I don't know if it's just network related or not. I haven't had a reply from the host yet. Sorry it didn't work out for you. The problem with your game as you know is the splash screen that comes up once in a while and needs me to log in and close it before the game with restart. You rooms as done it alot. I can't make an excuse for a flaw in a game. Take care Jeff.

E-mail sent from me as well, as my ET server is suffering the same issue. No CP, no FTP, and it's 9999, it's been roughly 6.5 hrs according to splatterladder since it got a response from my IP. Hoping you guys get the box up soon.

Don't know what happened. As it is only effecting a certain IP range. Not all the boxes are down and all are pingable. Coloquest is in the process of moving clients to a new location and I hope they did not shut some IP's down. No response from them yet. I'm in pain over this.

It's one of the hazards, and we all know it. Thing of it is, you guys are on top of it, and that alone speaks volumes. I've had a few to many other hosts that would have just shrugged it off, and maybe, it would have been fixed in a few days, IF they got around to it.

I did have a thought, the other day, though. When it comes to issues like this, if you were to use resolved IP's rather than numbered ones, moving your clients to a new box would be easy. They'd never know they were moved, unless some settings were changed.

Keep me posted, just sorta hoping this gets fixed before I go to work, as both my partner and I work tonight, so we won't be able to check in on it after a certain time.

Show me where it states to email ME on the site in the TOS or anywhere? Go to http://www.socgaming.net/support.html and read it again would you please? Also could you take a real good look at the rules of these forums again in case you forgot the vulgarity rule.

As for the vulgarity sry. So now we are on the same page what are you going todo about the server. Refund our last month hold us for the month set up a free month for all the down time? Just to let you know we have moved so our guys can play a game without it crashing every day. Not be rude but it seems like once you got the cash everthing went south. We payed good money to you guys and cant use the server!


Nonsense Jeff,

I've called you personally and worked with you personally many times to help resolve issues. Call of Duty has a nasty splash screen that pops up complaining about configurations changing and the game will sit until one of our techs or myself personally login to the server and click "no". Change the content of the game enough and it pops up on the next restart. Everybody that runs a CoD2 server knows this. As far as crashing daily. I've not seen it lock you out "Everyday" like you claim. In fact I've went as far to try to find a fix to get around that bad splash screen issue just because I felt you were a decent client and deserved a little more attention. I've looked at the servedoc logs controlling your game and have seen that it doesn't crash "All the time". We have had many customers pay way in advance and none of them will sit and complain we "take the money and run" That total bs and you know it. As far as downtime is concerned. It happens to everybody and I feel as bad as the next guy because alot of the clients are on boxes I've personally setup their games to. Like you said to me once before. I am and try to be a good, honest and fair person. Randy has already agreed to credit downtime for this server mishap that I have to go fix now. A few days, plus hours over the past 2 and half months does not translate into a months worth of free service. A huge majority of our clients have had the exact opposite opinion of Socgaming that you have taken. Even with some downtime. Good luck at your new host and sorry it didn't work out as smooth as your standards expect.

Im sorry but ive got to say jester is absolutely right and is being 100% honest about the servers going down every-other day it was ridiculas coming in teamspeak to hear "SORRY THE SERVERS DOWN AGAIN GUYS".

Personaly i think you could have handled this situation better there was no need for the last post you was breaking your rules and i guess now we see your true coulors and willingness to help your customers.

Well your poor servers and customer service has drove us out i hope you can work on this so you dont loose anymore customers.

I have been a member for several months and at first we would all be in game with no problem. After a while Jester would be called to fix issues we were having. Now this is taking time out on his part and trying to help the team maintain a good time while on the server. As part contributor to the site I have spoken and voiced my opinion to Jester since he is our spokes person, of my disappointment with the operation of the support and comments made. We needed to have a better response and at least, work with us on the issue. I feel it’s fair to refund or give some time back this is were I past my free time and would like to know I am getting my moneys wreath. I am from NJ and COD2 is my favorite game and I send most of the time on the game site or on our web site. Working along with the group and Jester does more work maintaining the server than playing Its not fair.

I'm personally very happy with socgaming, and you'll have to note that I'm one of the many in the affected range with this outage. Fortunately, I have a second server, and can frag there, or on other servers as well.

Tech has always gotten back to me in the allotted 24 hr period, usually much sooner.

There've been a few times I've had to deal with downtime, but those were always issues beyond all our control, and things were set right, as soon as humanly possible.

Do keep in mind everyone needs to sleep, spend time with their families, friends, etc. The guys at socgaming are no different.

I will note this. You can pay a lot more and go with another host that might only respond in 48 hrs, notice the word MIGHT...been there and done that. The lag, the downtime, issues I've dealt with in the past with other hosts, and didn't get 1/10 of the support quality I get here.

I also enjoy the lag-free gaming, and I've got members in my clan from Germany and Belgium who tell me they get no lag either, so that has to say something for the quality of product offered here.

My thoughts, as I patiently wait for my second server to come back up.

We pay good money for a product and expect it to work at a 100% not 95% or 98%. We are the customer and you should give us what we need for the product to meet our expectations. You should not give us lip service just good service. We are a good means of financial gain for you and would like treatment accordingly. We would recommend your site to any other group as we have in the past but the product must be there when needed.
We thank you for any thing you think you have done but it is no help.
How about just refunding what we have left that we payed you up front?
AMOUNT left $20.00 money DOSNT GROW ON TREES.
