Brink?
Do you have any plans to try and host Brink servers when the game comes out?
Re: Brink?
I anticipate that we will be able to add this game to our normal system as long as they have a dedicated server that supports the basics, such as:
- Multiple servers per machine
- IP binding
- A single server folder and configuration via files
- Low CPU usage for empty servers

Alright. Thanks for the reply.
They are going to have dedicated server software. Fingers crossed that it matches the requirements you need.

Re: Brink?
Same guys that did ET Quake Wars, so Im sure the dedi will be along those lines.
This is a game we are going to support as well. I quite look forward to it.

Re: Brink?
Less then a day to go guys, better get your orders in.
@John
Still have no confirmation on IP binding, only using multiple ports. Strange.

Re: Brink?
Doom3 had IP binding, so I have my fingers crossed that they kept in it. Of course, it's pretty common for games to unknowingly retain binding support but add features that break it, then not test it. Homefront was one recent example of a game that did this, IIRC (but it was quickly fixed before release, for them).
Re: Brink?
It's releasing in less than 6 hrs. I have it preloaded already....just waiting on a server provider at that point.
Re: Brink?
It was just confirmed that IP binding currently doesnt work. Apparently there is a bug. They are aware of it and are working on it. I can confirm it as well, as I have tried setting up several servers on my box, and can not bind an ip. The command that is supposed to work is "+set net_ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" but it does not work.
