Forum "Mark forums read" link
It only works on the homepage of the forums. Not by forum individually. Don't know if it's intended with phpbb3 or not but I haven't seen it work that way strictly on any other forum system.

Re: Forum "Mark forums read" link
Are you saying that clicking it doesn't actually mark everything as read, or that you can't use it to mark specific areas as read and it only works globally?

Re: Forum "Mark forums read" link
Lets say I view the forums, and I go to a forum category. "Mark forums read" doesn't work.
Lets say I view the forums and stay on the homepage of them. "Mark forums read" clears them all.
Should it not work per-category as well?

In that case, I think it should. I'll have to test that myself when I have a chance.

It's supposed to do all of them, I believe.
Re: Forum "Mark forums read" link
I just tested this with the general section when I saw a reply here, and it worked fine for me.

Re: Forum "Mark forums read" link
That is possible, but it may also be a browser related issue. Do you have another browser or computer you can test on?

No
IE removed as an OS addon and only use chrome as much as I hate it, for the bookmarking specs.
Re: Forum "Mark forums read" link
IE normally can't be completely removed, Windows will just remove shortcuts for it instead. You should be able to find IE in your files somewhere.

There is ways to remove IE, and it's found in control panel, under uninstall Windows addons.

Re: Forum "Mark forums read" link
I will admit that it has been some time since I tried that myself, but the last time I did, it only really removed the shortcuts and didn't actually uninstall IE. This made some sense to me since IE is more than just a browser for Windows and a number of functions within Windows depends on it.

Re: Forum "Mark forums read" link
I believe that's all I did, and no more IE for me (thankfully). Windows asking to install new IE, security updates for IE all the time was quite annoying. No more of that though
.

Re: Forum "Mark forums read" link
I forgot all about this thread.
But no, I've always removed IE and only stuck to one browser because some of my programs tend to randomly switch default browsers.
I know when it's always removed by trying "iexplore" in a run prompt.

Re: Forum "Mark forums read" link
I also tested this and it does seem to only work on the main page. However it does mark every topic even the ones with sub categories as read also.
