Are you referring to these rental forums? If so, I haven't heard of any issues myself.

I use the always-keep-me-logged-in option and haven't seen any problems -- it does just that.

It use ask you if you would like to save username/password but doesn't anymore.

Did you guys change this like you did the ordering page?
It's kind of pointless to remove that feature from a forums, username on the forums is not tied into main account.

In all honesty, I use the login option at the bottom of the main forum page and check the box there to stay logged in. It still works for me under the dark red theme.

We were forced to write the HTML element to disallow password-saving because of PCI requirements. I agree that it doesn't make any sense, and I argued with them about it, but there was no getting around it. Staying logged in does still work, so I recommend going with that.

That will long as you don't mind keeping cookies forever. I delete my cookies daily.
It use to ask you if you would like to save username and password but for some strange reason its no longer working. Doesn't work with FireFox 3.6.20 and IE8.

Having that feature enabled makes it easier for people to post. I would think you guys would want to make it easier for customers to post.

I don't understand PCI requirements, is that due to accepting credit cards?
If so why can every site on the net allow people to save info but you guys can't.

Ah, I had misunderstood what you meant the first time, sorry about that. I was thinking options on the page, rather than browser functions.

I don't think that this affects more than a small handful of people, but I would have strongly preferred to keep it, as well. I am a firm believer in sites allowing my password to be saved, at least for systems that don't have my personal information in them.

Other guys that accept credit cards can't, I guess. Or, they just have a PCI scanning provider that hasn't caught on that that they're doing it yet.

You're preaching to the choir on this one.

Have you looked into using a different PCI scanning provider or asking other providers if they see the compliance rules the same way your current provider does.

It sounds like your current provider has someone that is interpreting the rules the wrong way. I could see not allowing employee's that have access to payment data base to be able to save login info, that would be big security risk.

I will email a few of the places on the approved scanning vendors to see what they say.

No, I haven't looked into this further. I haven't seen enough customers mention it to warrant prioritizing this over other concerns, such as rolling out new games, hardware, autoinstaller updates, control panel functionality improvements, and so on. It would be time-intensive to go back through the PCI compliance process this year, so I can't just slip it in on top (I don't know if you've done it before, but it's not enjoyable).

If this is a very important issue for you personally, you might consider looking into browser extensions to change functionality on your end, either by making it so that your perma-cookie for just the forum doesn't get deleted, or by overriding the HTML instruction and saving your password for you.

Rolling out new games, hardware other stuff is more important i agree. maybe when you renew the scan you can take the time to look into it more.

This used to never happen to me but it started happening to me unfortunately..

A couple of suggestions to start.

1. Go in to your browser and manually delete all NFO cookies and PHPbb cookies.
2. Go in to your browser and manually delete saved password info for NFO and PHPbb
3. Attempt to revisit the site and check automatically login and see if that fixes your problem.

If none of the above help, depending on your browser you can usually find a log me in or saved password addon that bypasses this issue. I know for sure that Google Chrome and Firefox have one.

I personally use this one for Google Chrome;
