Let's say I get an unmanaged dedi I saw the tutorial how to reach 1000fps on a windows 2008 with srcdsboost running in the backround and HPET.
I just have a few questions
How can I make it so not all the servers run at 1000fps maybe 2 out of 6
and is HPET like task scheduler? it restarts servers?

Re: Dedicated server
As well how can I add 600fps to my server without adding +fps_max in the cmd line or fps_max in the server config.
Re: Dedicated server
You would have to limit their FPS with cvars. What type of servers are you running?
HPET is a type of platform timer, like PIT or ACPI PM, and does not restart servers, no.

Re: Dedicated server
With an Orangebox game, the most you will actually be able to get on Windows is 500fps right now, due to Valve's 50% FPS restriction. We talk more about this here: http://www.nfoservers.com/forums/viewto ... =44&t=5473.
The cvar to set on the command-line, or in a server.cfg, would be fps_max for Orangebox games. You'll want to set it to maybe 30% higher than the actual target FPS, since the game does some strange internal rounding/adjustments. If you set fps_max on the command line, supposedly it can't be changed later.
